According to Paramount's new decision, the World War Z 2 project was shelved. The reason was to give weight to two new films that were decided to shoot for Mission Impossible. In order not to interrupt the budget of two new Mission Impossible left to Christopher McQuarie's hands, World War Z's budget was completely eliminated. The first film cost about $ 190 million. In turn, he was able to earn $ 540 million worldwide box office proceeds. World War Z 2 was expected to begin shooting in June 2019. However, Paramount stated that they never added World War Z 2 to their programs.
