The Godfather
The father is about the epic story of an Italian mafia family in the 40s and 50s America. At the wedding of Don Corleone's daughter Connie, Michael, the youngest son of the family and a war veteran, makes peace with his father. When an assassination attempt makes Don no longer able to manage things, Michael and his brother Sonny take over the family. With the help of their counselor Tom Hagen, the Corleone family, who started war with other families, begins to change old-fashioned methods.
Adapted to cinema by Mario Puzo's best-selling book Puzo and director Francis Ford Coppola, the film won an Oscar for Best Film, Best Actor and Best Adapted Screenplay that year.
